Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PrayPause ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
PrayPause is a self-management tool that helps users build a prayer habit by temporarily restricting access to selected apps using Apple's Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity). The app is designed for individual use and is not a parental control tool.
Use at Your Own Discretion
PrayPause is provided as a personal productivity and spiritual tool. You use it at your own discretion and risk. We make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes, behavioral changes, or spiritual results from using the app.
Screen Time Authorization
PrayPause requires your explicit authorization to access Apple's Screen Time features. By granting this authorization, you allow the app to apply and remove app restrictions on your behalf, based on your configuration.
This authorization is fully revocable. You can revoke PrayPause's Screen Time access at any time by navigating to iOS Settings > Screen Time. Upon revocation, all restrictions set by PrayPause are immediately removed. Uninstalling the app also removes all restrictions.
User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Choosing which apps to restrict and configuring your screen fast schedule.
- Ensuring that app restrictions do not interfere with emergency communications or essential services.
- Managing your Screen Time authorization, including granting and revoking access.
- Using the app in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
No Affiliation with Apple
PrayPause is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. Apple, Screen Time, iOS, and related trademarks are the property of Apple Inc. PrayPause uses Apple's publicly available Screen Time APIs in accordance with Apple's developer guidelines.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrayPause and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to missed notifications, inability to access apps, or any disruption caused by the app's restrictions.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Termination
You may stop using PrayPause at any time by revoking Screen Time authorization and uninstalling the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app if these terms are violated.
